Scrub Typhus” it is a transferrable disease. It is caused by virus named “Orinsia susugamukhi” and the means are the “trombiculit mite” which is found in rats. It was first found in Japan in 1930 and now it is also seen in Nepal ad according to last report 8 person have died because of this disease. So we must control it in time. It is mostly seen in Southeast Asia.
The life cycle of mite is egg, Larva, nymph, and adult but it is transferred in the age of larva. The place where the mite bites, there will be the flow of “black Iskar” which helps to know that it is “Scrub Typhus”. It is transferred from the bite of the mite which is its means and the exchange of foods with the person suffering from it.
Symptoms:
It will be seen in the 10-12 days after the bite of mouse.
  1. High fever
  2. Red dots seen in head and other parts of body.
  3. Headache and loss of appetite.
  4. Cough and vomit.
  5. Body chills, muscles and joints pain.
  6. Swelling of limp node.
  7. Infection in comucus membrane. Etc
Disease diagnosis:
A doctor identifies the patient with different symptoms and it can be cured. Recently it has been studied in the “National Public Health Laboratory” in Teku. It can be found by checking the I.G.M type of Antibody of the person’s blood.
Preventions:
  1. Careful in cleanliness.
  2. Get rid of mites.
  3. Cleaning the house and its surroundings.
  4. Use of pesticides.
  5. Use of insect repellents.
